The Morning Training Protocol: How to Perform When You Just Woke Up

6. Use Caffeine Deliberately

That does not mean the first action after waking should be consuming the largest stimulant serving possible.

Morning stiffness should not be solved by making one massive jump from the empty bar to the working load.
Gradually increase the weight while reducing repetitions.

- Set 1: Very light weight for 8 to 10 controlled repetitions
- Set 2: Light weight for 6 to 8 repetitions
